But this most recent terror, because I think that is what it is, it is leading to terror and huge anxiety right across London and Jewish communities everywhere.

I think we've got to fight racism and anti-Semitism on many fronts.
Prescription is a tool that government can use and has used in the past to good effect.
It has said it should use it here and it should do so.

It's why I think that the work, the hard, long work of social cohesion about building ties between different communities is so important, not just to prevent radicalization, which is real,
but also, I think, to build resilience in British society.
I can say to you that since this latest incident has happened, in common with other incidents, my phone has been off the hook.
I've had messages from right across the Jewish community about the very real fear that people are experiencing, but I've also had messages from local priests, imams, faith leaders, people of no faith,
expressing their solidarity.
Allies are everywhere.
And I believe that the British moderate majority stands with its British Jewish community.
But I will say this too, that if there were a moment where we need British society along with government to stand up and show its solidarity with our British Jewish community, that time is now.
Well, you're right, John, that I represent one of the most diverse constituencies in
the country.
And I am not only the MP for Finchley and Golders Green, which has a large and diverse Jewish community, but I'm a member of that community as well.
I've got skin in the game, so to speak.
