They did the right thing on Trent McDuffie.
I wonder what they would have gotten if they had gone even earlier, like the last in training camp.
It's easier to say right now that,
Well, they had a bad year, so they should have traded him.
I know that's after the fact.
But we did have this conversation that, listen, you reached out to him because Brett Veach said they'd had talks.
You reached out to him but weren't able to get it done.
Now is when you trade him.
I mean, I think that's where they have to get to is, like, if there's someone they want to extend and he doesn't extend, you know, two years out where you can bring the number down over the long haul, then you've got to flip him.
I just think you get to a point where it gets a lot easier.
I think the Chiefs have not...
gotten comfortable with doing that.
Like Trent McDuffie, you'd be like, what did they do with Trent McDuffie?
They did not have room to pay Trent McDuffie.
And the guy that was going to bring the most was Trent McDuffie.
And there are a couple of spots on this roster that, like, one of the topics we're kicking around on our Red, Gold, and Bold is, like, who are the five to eight guys that are going to be here in four years?
Because that's about how much that turns over.
