After graduating from high school, Katie went to college in Pennsylvania to study business management and then went on to work in insurance sales.

Now, while dating wasn't easy with her sexual trauma, she did eventually meet a guy named Derek, who she felt completely safe with.

They got married and had two children of their own, Logan and Hayley.
