We're all equal playing field when we start writing a song. Um, and the song is the most important thing. Um, that's one. Um, the other is Melody first. You know, I mean, I learned that from not only him, but like Christian Lundin, who was a part of Cheron, a lot of those guys that became mentors for me when my day's coming up, like melody is the universal language. That's really important.

Like R&B and stuff like that was not what the Americans thought was R&B at the time. Even though I was American, it's still like I had been there long enough where I sort of became Swedish in that sense.
