I had another guy, two other guys from Sweden, one named Peter Svensson from the Cardigans and the guy named Mal Piyami started the idea for Love Me Harder, went in and we finished that. One of the dreams when I met Ari in my mind was to do a new Lady Marmalade. So I go to one of our guys, Rickard Goranson. I was like, can you start a track or something that's very like, think Lady Marmalade.

And I was trying to crack the lyric for him for like a year, like genuinely, because every time you change the pronunciation of anything, Like it didn't feel as good.

And I finally felt like I cracked it and it was sort of in our back pocket. And I was like, that'd be interesting. Like if Whitney Houston did break free, you know what I mean? And now we have Ariana Grande and she's just as good a singer. Like, and I played to Ari and she loved it.

because the average person just listens to a when they're when you know when you have a song in your head you're not you don't have a backing track with it right you're singing it acapella so if it can be things so i always started i came up with this thing because i started realizing when i have these melodies that pop in my head they usually the big the strongest ones when they feel good acapella because like it's sing-alongable you know so i started using that as my sort of trick you know preparing for when artists come in just making sure i have a chorus or something like that
