On paper, a trip to Fir Park or whatever might seem harder, but you wouldn't put it past Falkirk coming up with something.
drop the ball at this stage in the game it's something that will take decades if ever for them to stage a recovery over it's funny because like just how delicate it is Barry's hoping that's the night that Hearts drop points Hearts fans have got it circled as the night they could win the title if they do their business tomorrow Celtic slip up if you say nobody's incorrect perspective on their own teams
Talk to us specifically about this fixture, Barry.
It's funny how a Celtic Rangers game, it's not getting a specific build-up, if you like, because everybody's talking about bigger picture and permutations and hearts and all that.
How do you feel generally about this fixture?
don't really know what conclusions to draw from the head-to-heads between them this season because you can sort of surely discount the ones that have been under other management for both then you get to that last series of the last doubleheader where your Rangers good first half and go ahead but then Celtic excellent second half and draw the game the next one where Celtic really really don't
Can you start Iheanacho, Barry, or does he have to be an impact sub?
You agree with that?
I think for me I think you've got to look at the service that he is getting from the wings I think Tanecki I get flattered to deceive end product not enough for me and Yang he's won good performance in three games if Celtic were the Celtic of old where they're really dominating games and getting the ball out wide for 1v1s then I think you could afford to have a guy who plays in the penalty box and is your best finisher at the club but because they're not in the turnover possession a lot more than they did previously
you can't afford to be a man down off the ball it's even at that to be fair it's a team effort isn't it even those good versions of Celtic they maybe wouldn't have carried someone like that because that guy would have been the one setting the tone for stuff anyway and playing a key role in the bit that gets the ball out to those guys or whatever it
What do you do though?
What's the answer?
Because if Deiza Maeda plays through the middle, does Taneke start a game like this?
You're hopeful Taneke puts on a performance.
We've seen the flashes that he does have moments of real quality, but just nowhere near enough for a level that Celtic fans would expect.
There's no getting away from that.
I agree with you.
I think Maeda has to play through the middle because he is the trigger.
To get Celtic in the game Put Rangers defenders Under real pressure And then allow you To go into the game And then actually Ain't going to do it At the same intensity That Maeda does But what he will do Give them the chances He'll take them There was a suggestion Barry I think he was spotted Wasn't he Maeda Limping off last week He's boot off Foot swollen But Martin O'Neill Confirming today He's fine How big a boost is that?
Me personally, I would play James Forrest in a game like this.
