Hugh Keevans and Scott Allen are here 01419511025 to get in touch on the phones and please do ahead of a big weekend across Scottish football now I know what you're thinking regular listeners to Clyde One Super Scoreboard you'll be thinking can you possibly have an environment like Scottish football where it's more chaotic more filled with debate and controversy and disagreement I think I've found the very thing the thought you never thought you would hear on here
super scoreboard's about to go political let's do it election update yeah Scottish Parliament election today of course a big day across the country so let's speak to our political editor Alan Smith he's at the Royal Highland Centre who's going to give us a quick update on how it's all looking Alan
Absolutely, Gordon.
Well, this is like the title running for political anoraks and geeks like myself.
So, I mean, they've been counting since early this morning.
The state of play at the moment, the SNP are going to be the largest party again at Holyrood.
After 69 seats declared so far, they've won 55 of them.
The Lib Dems have picked up a couple of seats from them.
They're on five.
The Tories on four.
Labour three.
Greens on two.
And at the moment, Reform have got nothing.
But that doesn't mean they're out of it completely because we've still got the regional list.
So that's...
calculated slightly differently that's all to come and that's when Labour and Reform and the Tories will pick up a lot of seats but at the moment the SNP are going to be the largest party by far once again in Scotland but possibly falling short of a majority that they want to get an independence referendum.
Thank you very much to Alan.
