but I'm just scared that it's going to end up if he's not getting a tune out of them just now I don't know when he will I think it's looking at it so he speaks about individual errors there's no getting away from that they don't defend with both goals well enough the running back the lazy that will come from when he looks back at the data from the GPS vest don't want to bore anybody when he looks back at that after the game and they'll be able to compare that to how they've ran in games or maybe performed really well and especially a game
where it came with so much magnitude and Rangers had to win it but at the same time if the manager's accepting that and then playing the same players the following week then you have to hold yourself accountable the same questions were asked after the Motherwell game and some of the players then started at Tyne Castle and then you throw in a Scovallson who in both boxes for me doesn't defend well enough and he's given you nothing creative wise
questions have to be asked to be fair I don't want to put words in Danny Rule's mouth because it was quite a lengthy answer he wasn't saying that's all it is he was acknowledging other things but just to emphasise that point I always think it's a it's a real cop out whether it's fans managers or anyone who thinks that see if we just tried a bit harder we'd be this because it's never just that it really never is that's why I say it's a quality thing that's what I mean he shouldn't have said it because people will automatically say well that's your fault if they're lazy that's your fault
right Ian thank you very much it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out this weekend for sure I'd like to hear from you Motherwell and Hearts fans because you get to set the tone the build up to the game on Sunday will look entirely different depending on the outcome at Fir Park so 01419511025 and we'll speak to you next
Taking your calls on Scottish football 01419511025 This is Clyde One Super Scoreboard Scott Allen and Hugh Keevans are here It's 01419511025 Now I know there's a potentially title deciding game at Fir Park tomorrow Between Motherwell and Hearts then An incredibly delicate Old Firm game the following day Between Celtic and Rangers The relegation playoff
Place could become clearer in the Premiership over the weekend, but there only really is one football story in town today.
After a career spanning almost 20 years, 480 appearances, 59 goals and about 340 victories on Beat the Pundit, Andy Halliday has decided to hang up the boots and he's even found time in his busy schedule on his un-
rostered evening to come and join us on Clyde One Super Scoreboard I believe Andy how are you you feeling emotional after the big news where is he I'm expecting him to pop up on my screen at some point it's my good looks no there yet it's just audio we've got you we've got you that's good that it's gone a bit blurry so we can't see your tears has it been an emotional day it has I've only just recovered now that's probably half an hour so Gordon but I'm sure I'll be fine
How do you... Ultimately, what led you to this decision then, when you kind of take it all in?
I'm sure you've been thinking about it for a while.
A few reasons, to be fair.
Probably the main reason is the fact that my body's just not where it was last year.
I've obviously been struggling with an Achilles injury for a period of time.
It feels as if I've been managing to get through that.
But this year, it's just not been possible at all.
The majority of days, I've been in pain.
And you want to...
You want to try and bow out in a semi-high.
You don't want to obviously get to a point where you're affecting your quality of life.
But what certainly never helped it was the type of football that Motherwell are playing because it made me get absolutely no minutes whatsoever.
