I am Scott Gelb, Solutions Architect with Enterprise Vision Technologies, and we're here this week representing the A-Team.
We're giving a shout-out to Sam and Samantha Moulton.
We are here for the Item Development Workshop for the NCIE Data Protection Exam this week.
I could start out.
So NetApp has a certification team.
And we're here as subject matter experts to help on the exam.
And it's really good to know that, you know, NetApp puts a lot of resources and time and, you know, toward the certification process to make sure that, you know, people can go get certified and show to their companies and in the field and professionally that they are qualified on NetApp.
So we are here today for the NCIE, that's the professional certification.
But I also have worked on the NCDA exam and then the NCIE SAN exam.
Okay.
We're all looking for kudos.
Nobody wants a pay raise.
It can be the difference between getting a job or not, too, or the job you want at a certain company.
Go ahead.
I want to say a few highlights on the testing process.
When people think certification, a lot of the time, it's like many things, it's hard to please everybody, but it's important to realize what NetApp has done behind the scenes, and it's come a long way over the years.
The first thing is there's a psychometrician attending and running the whole item development workshop.
That person helps provide a legally defensible exam, because you want to make sure that people can fairly pass in what we call the MAC, or the minimally acceptable candidate.
And what we do is we develop a blueprint, and it's peer-reviewed and created by all members of the team.
And we lock that down on the very first day, what the blueprint will be and where we're going to focus on the sections.
