There's like...
Areas on top of areas, quite literally with like a mezzanine structure that they've got going on there to create more space.
And in that sense, it is really impressive kind of what they've managed to crowbar into that space.
And as I saw for myself, what they're still trying to expand because they have the new simulator being installed.
Yeah, obviously what I saw for myself was the whole internals of the factory.
I saw the race bays, the cars were back, quite rare actually for them to all be in the race bays together because often they're just being freighted around the world.
But yeah, like where all the offices are, but then interestingly, kind of the way that they're installing the simulator that Toyota's in the process of installing.
So that's going to be, it's the team's first on site, which is a big deal.
But the work that's kind of gone on to even just like crowbar that into the building is really impressive.
One of the people who showed me around on the day is JP Loof.
He's the head of UK operations for Haas.
He basically runs the factory, makes sure it all goes well.
And rather than me butcher his own words, we've got a clip from him here where he's talking about the effort that went into basically fashioning the space to crowbar a Toyota simulator into.
It's essential, but something that pretty much everybody in any other team, and probably a lot of people listening to this, would take for granted.
Because obviously F1 teams have simulators, but look at the effort that Haas is having to go to, the people at Haas are having to go to, to be able to have this...
it's state-of-the-art in terms of the tech involved, but bog-standard in an F1 context.
Having a simulator at your factory, and this will be primarily for car development work.
Eventually, I think it will play a part in race weekend preparation and setup and that sort of thing.
But it's a key development weapon now for validating and checking what you're getting in the virtual development tools, wind tunnel, CFD, etc.
So it's bringing...
