So when did you first play with him?
First played, he was bottom age 18 trying out.
Right.
And just everything we see now, we saw then in a rarer form.
I think early days when you saw him getting the ball, you just thought, geez, how does he find so much space and have so much time when others look rushed?
And that's what makes him unique in today's sport.
Very quickly you can sort of see that he wasn't going to fail in his career because of work ethic or because of lack of want.
Yeah, I think we had a really healthy, competitive, I don't know if you'd call it a rivalry, but we just wanted to be the best we could be.
He's unbelievable at how all this has been going on, and he's messaging through, oh, yeah, it's just another normal day, isn't it?
He handles pressure better than anyone I've ever met or known, so he's kind of made for this.
