Those are two things that have been major, major pluses for Duke in the past.

Obviously, we had some mixed results against SMU.

It'll be interesting to see whether John Shire is able to get his guys to take advantage of the mismatches that that presents tomorrow night in California.

The thing that stuck out to me from that audio was actually something a little bit different.

It was when John said, we need to max out who we can be.

And I thought that was a very telling choice of words.

It was almost, to me, a coded way of saying, hey, guys, this isn't last year's team, right?

This isn't – Conn, Knipple, and Cooper Flag aren't walking through that door, right?

Lest we forget how –

astronomically of an outlier last year's team wars.

You know, both Cooper Flagg or Khan Kanipal are fighting each other for rookie of the year in the NBA right now.

I'm not sure if it's ever been the case that two guys from the same school have gone 1-2 in rookie of the year voting.

And it might end up that Cedric Coward, a guy who couldn't have been a Duke Blue Devil, ends up, you know, third or fourth.

That's a completely other story.

So...

This is a time where we learn who we are.

This team is not a juggernaut.
