Exactly.
Constantine wanted to consolidate the Roman Empire, which had expanded beyond his control, basically.
And he had two options.
One is he could reel everybody in by force or by faith.
and he chose the latter.
So the Council of Nicaea was a gathering of all the leaders and religious leaders to settle upon a state religion.
And so what they did was they took little bits from everybody and writings from certain biblical documents to create what eventually became Roman Christianity.
And that was brilliant in many ways because war is messy and expensive and
And this was a better way to do it back then.
And everybody got a little piece of the pie so the religious leaders could go back to their community and say, hey, look what I got.
But what they're saying is that what is now the doctrine of the Roman church... Is not the word of God.
Is not the word of God.
And it's not the word of Yeshua either.
