But anyway, they did a salvage archaeological dig on May 31st of 2008 when they replaced what used to be an asphalt sidewalk with concrete, that concrete.
And what they did is they gave them one day to do a salvage dig.
They opened up four pits, but two of them were off the north column and the northeast column.
And exactly 13 feet off center from both of those columns, they found remnants of a wooden post, a vertical post.
One was 10 inches in diameter.
The other one is 14, I think.
And it was wood.
And this is classic, you know, old wood.
And they were round, like columns that supported a first story structure, just like the first story structure in Cambridge Round Church.
And those capstone ledges that you see at the top of the columns right where the arches start?
served as a structural support for beams that went out to those wooden columns, okay?
For a first story structure.
Is that agreed upon?
Oh, of course not.
No, okay.
Because it's a windmill.
Okay?
Now, if you go to the top of the arches...
And if you look closely, it's hard to see when you go to the west and the sun is on it.
