I think he's just as likely, if not more likely, to be in South Australia or Victoria next year, hunting a premiership and wanting midfield time as well.
I think he understands that at the Lions, his midfield time next year and beyond might be limited.
And I don't think he's got any issues about living in Melbourne or living in Adelaide.
They've got a lot of midfield options.
Not every player they've got there on the list at the moment at Brisbane Lions is another Lockie Neal, but they've got enormous potential with their young players.
They do.
And I think he recognises that.
So does he want midfield time elsewhere?
Is it best for the club then if he moves on?
He's playing some seriously good footy as well.
I genuinely believe Lachie Neal hasn't made up his mind yet.
So everything's on the table.
Well, you could argue that by the end of his deal, it might feel like that's unders, but-
Tom Green is the sort of person they are desperate to keep around the club.
They see him as a future captain.
He's done his ACL this year.
And they, more importantly, want to ward Tasmania off his services because Tassie are really keen on him.
They've got a tight salary cap, the Giants, so I'd imagine that would be more back-ended than front-ended.
And Tom Green is a player you can build a club around and a person you can build a club around.
