Yeah, the US I've got a very close eye on as well because cricket is growing in the US big time.
They've got their own US league, yes.
And what these teams are doing, let's call them Mumbai, they're trying to buy teams all around the world and they might employ Gary Lyon, for example, to play for six different franchises around the world.
But this creates a salary cap concern because you might be paid โ
$1 to play in the BBL, but overpaid to play in other leagues around the world.
So that's part of New South Wales' concern, is how can you have a salary cap that is equitable when you can't control the money being paid to these players for outside leagues?
That's right.
Cricket's played all over the world.
Why would they need to have a salary cap?
That's a really good question, and that's what franchise cricket is becoming.
It's becoming like club soccer, and international cricket is becoming more, I guess it's becoming more narrow in its interest levels around the world, particularly one-day international cricket.
