You went back to Ofata Primary recently, which was your childhood school.
And again, we were lucky enough to see some video of you kind of going there and seeing old teachers.
But how do you reflect back on that moment or that community?
Is that still a big part of who you are now?
Right.
Yeah.
Have you got elements of that?
Have you, like, picked up elements of that in your personality as well?
But same time to eat every night, like that sort of old school routine?
I think it's a generational thing.
I think a lot of, a lot of parents or dads that kind of came up through that, that time had those kind of those values about them.
Yeah, mine was 35, born in 1935.
Oh, for real?
And same thing.
So your dad would have come through, grown up through rationing through World War II.
Yep, yep.
And so he would have a certain perspective on life and the way things were.
Yeah, I know exactly kind of, I feel like I know the household that you would have grown up in with some of those things.
The values, eh?
And out of the household comes yourself, Dame Valerie, Lisa, who are the three, I guess, that capture New Zealand's sporting attention.
