On the topic of social media bans, UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is about to announce the crackdown on children's access to social media, something akin to our social media ban for under 16-year-olds.

Other countries that have followed Australia's lead so far include Brazil, France, Malaysia, Indonesia and Portugal.

But isn't it funny how we get excited when one of the big tech titans rings the leader of our country to say they've done something?

I reckon 20 years ago.

It was all about the leaders of the company.

If they wanted something, they ring the big business.

Nowadays, we get excited at the big business.

I bet Albanese is going to take the call.

I reckon 20 years ago, that just would never have entered the discussion.
