There's a reason why they're always out there, you know.
I guess a lot of people used to work in steel mills down in the pits and the mines and stuff up where I came from and they valued the gardens, their allotments, because surprise, surprise, it's good for your brain, it's good for your mind.
And that's why there's still that old tradition up there and I'm sure in many other parts of the country.
But there's very good reasons behind it.
I sometimes think we've lost that now, you know.
I'm not, you know, saying, you know, technology and stuff, things will always change and sometimes change for good reasons.
But we've got to be careful we don't lose that sense of... Well, connection to life, isn't it?
Life is not a contest or a race to get to the end.
