Just tell me a little bit about why you pursued that line of work before you started becoming a film director.
Well, it is.
I mean, it is like eerily accurate, both in terms of, I think, the perspective of the characters, the scene, and just the general like angst in the relationships.
Like I thought you got all that stuff so right.

I was a lowly 20-something back then.
You have nice tributes to various music writers in your film.
So we have eerily similar paths.
Sort of.
Yeah.
I mean, I was on Chuck's desk as an intern at Spin in 03.
When he was out reporting what became Killing Yourself to Live, his book.
So I never interacted with him at that time.
He's now a good friend of mine.
But at the time, I also really, really looked up to him and he really β I really loved what he was doing and the way that he was kind of like colliding pop culture.
