This league isn't about wins.
It's about points.
And I think the fact that they stacked however many it was over a point per game whenever Crosby was out, I can't remember what the exact number was.
I think that fact alone needs to reign supreme here.
It's not about winning games.
It's about
amassing points and they've been, they've been really, really good at that.
And honestly, like I think not just me, but I, it seems like there's a lot of people that were sold even further on them coming out of the Olympic break because they do without Crosby, they do without Malkin for, for a chunk of it, but they still found a way to scratch and claw and stay above water.
I think they're a more dangerous team now than they were three weeks ago, for sure.
Are you confident in the goaltending right now?
Not entirely.
I think, um,
Those guys are playing well.
We need to recalibrate a little bit, I will say.
Like, what we view as good goaltending in the NHL in 2026, the average save percentage is as low as it's been basically since the dead puck era, right?
Like, if you're around 900, you're in fine shape.
And that's where those guys are.
Their goals saved above expected in both cases is pretty solid.
So I don't want to totally dump on them here, but also, like,
We're talking about Stuart Skinner, who is famously self-destructed in high-stakes games, and Artur Shilov, who couldn't beat out Kevin Lankanen in Vancouver for two consecutive years.
