Yeah, we all know this ended up optically looking bad.

The Jets are still looking for a quarterback.

When they traded up, previous regime or not, Woody Johnson is still there, right?

They thought that Sam Darnold was the kind of quarterback that could be a franchise quarterback and take him to a Super Bowl.

As we now know, they were right.

But the excuse that they weren't ready for it or that they... We all know Sam Darnold wouldn't develop here.

That's part of why the Jets should be embarrassed.

It's not an argument against why the Jets shouldn't feel that way.

In fact, it's more of an argument for that.

The team is such, and the organization, through multiple regimes, is such a dumpster fire that they could not develop this guy and also left a big turd-stinking sandwich there

Where Sam Darden himself could have come back and done this with the Jets, and he was never going to be attracted to that, never even consider it.

This is way more embarrassing based on the position of nature, and him getting to the Super Bowl only further clamps that down, and the Vikings should be embarrassed, too.
