Kentucky Senator Rand Paul says the killing of Alex Preddy by Border Patrol agents shouldn't have happened, that immigration agents are using too much force, and that he plans to ask the head of ICE to get specific.
Paul says that could restore public trust in immigration agencies.
Similar questioning this week on the House side made clear that Republicans and Democrats remain far apart on enforcement practices.
And time is running out to resolve their differences before short-term funding for DHS runs out.
If a foreign country bombed our air defense missiles, captured and removed our president, and blockaded our country, would that be considered an act of war?
But would it be an act of war if someone did it to us?
Nobody dies, few casualties, they're in and out.
Boom, it's a perfect military operation.
Would that be an act of war?
Of course it would be an act of war.
So my next question would be,
Let's say it's not a war.
So it's a drug bust.
What if a foreign country indicts our president for violating a foreign law
Should we extradite our president or should we be okay if they come in and get him by force?
I'm very fearful that these boat strikes and the positioning of our ships and our troops right off the coast of Venezuela is a prelude to war.
I think that there is a real question of legality.
Under the military justice, under the Code of Military Justice, it says that when someone has been incapacitated or shipwrecked,
or they're clinging to the wreckage of a boat, that they're out of combat and they're no longer subject to be killed.
