well, it's an ongoing discrimination lawsuit against the league and three teams. And I think that owners don't want to get wrapped up in that. They don't want to be part of that. They don't want to violate the Rooney rule. And so I'm not convinced that Belichick wouldn't have ended up with an NFL job. I just think we're never going to know.

And I think that on those Zoom calls, Midway through the season, all of a sudden, the college game just seemed much more appealing to him. And again, I was as shocked as anybody. I think you and I were texting about it when North Carolina came up. And, you know, it's not Notre Dame exactly, but he felt like this is a good place to end his career the way that he wants to end his career, which is, you know, working with people that he cares about, that he likes, and winning or losing on his terms.
