Shamal Abdul-Kareem

Shamal Abdul-Kareem arraigned in San Bernardino County on federal charges in the arson Tuesday that destroyed a 1.2 million square foot Kimberly-Clark paper plant in Ontario, California.

Attorney Bill Esseli, Abdul Karim, was arraigned on state charges Thursday and remains in custody.

State prosecutors say the 29-year-old faces up to life in prison if convicted based on the amount of damage that was done.
