Excellent choices.
I have brought in two books.
So I brought in my two copies of Eragon and Eldest, which I am pretty sure are the very first fantasy books that I actually read.
Like, I think that that can be stated as fact.
It's really funny you say that, actually, because I think Six of Crows especially did the same thing for me, where it was kind of later, about a decade or so later after Eragon, where I had lost kind of maybe that spark for reading and reading fantasy in particular.
But then Six of Crows kind of brought it back.
But these ones, I think, I mean, I think I might have read like, you know, those fairy books that had like all those little series.
Maybe I read those as a kid as well.
But I vividly remember being in Kmart with my parents and I would always kind of be like, let me go
to the book section like what can i want anyway i saw these ones and the dragon obviously appealed to me right away um and i begged my parents to take it to buy it for me um and i still have on this copy 1296 from kmart back in the day i would love to know when that was the price point well it was 2006 i have i have receipts um well it's just the imprint page um i'll put this down while i'm chatting
Um, but yeah, so I, I literally, I think it just kind of opened up the whole world of fantasy.
I think it was the first sort of, I don't know, I think I thought of it as like a grownup book because I mean, they're quite big.
So I think it took me a long time cause I would have been about eight or nine, um, when I asked for those books.
And then it's just, I think it's just pure magic.
Like I think that's the thing.
I think it really showed me just, you know, there are so many other worlds other than this one and you can explore them all through books.
Did you have that dragonology book?
I didn't have it, but I borrowed it so many times at the library.
So it was just, yeah, I wish I had my own copy.
And you could like touch the little sparkles.
