My uncles were just – they were big, strong men.

So there's that.

And I'm not embarrassed by it and I don't want to change it.

I did want to become some kind of man.

But then I saw humour.

I wanted that Lego piece.

So you bolt that and that's one of those big, long –

blocks you know i want to bolt that to the big strong man thing and so humor is another part and then decency was and even as we've discussed there's another piece of the block and everything else but interestingly for not for my uncles but for my dad and my brother and myself and my sisters like they danced like my sisters were dancers right my younger sister she's the in john farnham's lifted up by angels my little sister is the dancing angel you know so so um

The other block that's the same size is this burn and yearn to entertain.

So all my uncles were funny, but my dad would get up and do comedy acts on stage at the footy and cricket night and just slay.

So bolting that together, dad loved the idea of us singing and dancing.

All the way.

But the thing that...

The dad – so I was dancing and boxing and I had long hair and I had my ear pierced and, you know, dad said – it was one of those things.

If you're going to have your ear pierced – I mean, he said – I mean, you know, it was a different time.

You're going to have long hair and your ear pierced like a girl and you're going to want to dance.

You're probably going to need to make sure you can fight.

Right.

And so I was doing boxing.

I was at the gym anyway because I just wanted to be like my dad and my older brother.
