And he's lived by it.
And I've watched him do it.
Like I said, two wives and burying all of his brothers and half their wives and everything else.
I've just watched him have to do it time and time again.
Stomach cancer, terrific burns.
So he just has a way of going, well, these are the cards I've been dealt.
And so when I ring him, he says stuff like –
How you going, Dad?
Well, I went through the paper this morning.
If I don't read my name in the obituaries, I'll swing my legs out a bit.
He reckons in theory he'll just read his name in a paper.
I was looking forward to tea and biscuits.
Yeah, so here was a blind spot forming that he's been a tower of strength and guidance and all those things for me and my brother and all of us, my sister.
And after the burns and during all this time, my wife's saying, I don't recognise himself.
I'm like, what are you talking about?
