Hi David, good morning.
I think it's just another attempt of a monopoly who recently purchased the National Lottery in Ireland and
to try and gain market share.
They've exhausted every other avenue.
They've put their machines into discount stores.
They've put them into petrol stations.
They've landed them in the middle of the chocolate bars and the petrol stations where children are frequent.
It's just another attempt by them to grab market share of a product that they don't offer, David.
And that is the critical, critical thing here.
The product offered in betting shops is absolutely 100% entirely different to anything the National Lottery offers.
They do not allow customers to bet on one number or two numbers or three numbers.
And that is what our punters are betting on.
And even more importantly, they dictate the minimum spend a customer must spend on their product.
We don't.
are punters that have been betting for over 30 years on the products in our shops.
can spend 10 cent, 20 cent, 30 cent a line, what they can afford.
And, you know, betting on birthdays or anniversaries or one or two numbers coming out are the most popular product that we sell in relation to lottery numbers.
Well, the figures are actually unbelievable.
They're absolutely not correct.
I'd love to know how they think that they got it.
