Harris spoke with podcast host and author Sharon McMahon and was asked point blank about whether she planned to run for president for a third time.
Early polls, according to CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten, have not been kind to the twice-failed candidate.
He told host John Berman that Harris polling at just 18% second to Governor Gavin Newsom was in a precarious position if she intended to drop in on a Democratic primary.
In addition to Newsom, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are polling at 13% and 12%, respectively.
