So I've been looking through the newspaper archive to see what there is on Cook.
Yeah, I've come across a few interesting articles.
One from the 5th of February 1978.
Yeah, and he's, as usual, preoccupied with getting this licence for Radio Dublin.
And he is quoted in the article as saying... Let's all sit down and talk about it.
He's pointing to a banana box filled to the gills with paper, with signatures, thousands upon thousands of signatures supporting the Radio Dublin cause.
So it feels on the one hand he's running this huge underground station but he's also very much mixing in the mainstream as well and he's quite brazen about it because there's also another article from March 1978 reporting on a massive charity walk happening in Dublin led by the Lord Mayor at the time and not only is Cook present at this he's comparing the event.
Yeah, he's really front and centre.
And then, you know, reports around him are just like he's this colourful, offbeat character, but there's no sense of danger surrounding him at all.
So he was hiding in plain sight, essentially.
