And they certainly have tried to fight it in any avenue that they've had available to them as well.
I mean, I even, again, I go back to like they've talked a lot about like, you know, we're going to support him any way that we can.
And I do think that there is legitimate reason
I do think that they legitimately want to support him, but that doesn't mean that he needs to be playing college football this fall.
And I think that that's something that, again, the backlash to this has been very significant.
And there are schools that have said, we are not going to schedule Texas Tech in any sport.
And by the way, if Texas Tech also wants to be one of those teams that's on the right side whenever the next thing of college football comes, be it a Super League or anything else,
I mean, making enemies like this might not be the best way to go about it.
Yeah, the biggest thing that I've been curious about, and look, this is speculation.
This is not reporting.
You know, I'm really curious, though, if
the pressure gets to Brendan Sorsby himself and sort of says like, look, this isn't a statement about like me being bigger than the team.
This is me being made bigger than the entire athletic department, than the entire, you know, conference that I play in.
And I mean, look, if you obviously just to take them fully at their word, right?
Like Brendan Swarzy has a diagnosed gambling disorder and has a diagnosed anxiety disorder.
And I'll tell you what, like, I don't know whether it's the best thing for somebody with a serious anxiety disorder to be the number one villain in all of college football, right?
Like maybe that's not actually the best thing for him and his recovery, you know, whatever you want to say.
I'm curious if this reaches a point where both sides have a conversation and say, this is not good for either of us.
But I do think that Texas Tech is ultimately going to let Brendan Sorensen make that decision.
