You know, they went the Milton Williams route last offseason.
That worked out really, really well.
They're just like, hey, let's pay him whatever it takes to get him from the Eagles.
He fit their scheme perfectly.
He played so great for him.
And I think Phillips kind of fits what they would want to do.
You know, as we mentioned, he's going to play hard, championship caliber team potentially with the Patriots coming off that Super Bowl.
He's versatile depending on what scheme you want to play.
And I was thinking this.
If you're the Patriots, would you rather trade, let's say, a one and a day two pick for Max Crosby
Or would you rather keep those picks and sign Jalen Phillips, given that you have the cap space?
And I kind of landed on Crosby's a better player.
Don't get me wrong, but it's Crosby and the picks.
I was kind of like, I think I'd rather just sign Jalen Phillips and keep those picks and address the other needs on my roster.
Yeah, you look at their defense and they're like, you know, one edge rusher away from kind of being a really interesting defense.
I feel like with those defensive tackles, if they were to add someone like Phillips or Crosby or somebody else, they've got the corners and they overachieved this year.
They showed schematically that they can kind of be more than just the individual pieces there are.
So Jalen Phillips, another interesting name there on defense.
Let's go to the offensive side of the ball.
