Like, you know, like they trying to protect me. And it hurt my feelings so bad because I was like, I work for this. I mean, you know, you good, but you ain't that good. And it just really hurt my feelings. And I would go into these panic attacks. Like, I don't deserve this because there's people funnier than me. Why am I on The View? It's people who have more knowledge than me.

It just, in this season of my life, like maybe before the talk show, I realized, you know what? If God gave you the assignment, it's something that you have that he wants to use to touch people. And whatever he gave, like when I walked through that, when that door opens and it says, welcome Sherri Shepherd. After I pray, where I am weak, you are strong.

And I know, you got to know who you are too, Crystal. Everything that he's given to you, all of the gifts he's using and who I am. You could take me off this show and you could try to put somebody in my place.

We are all unique and have our own gifting that is so different from somebody else. I cannot, I watched Taraji and Straw love to be at that level that she is. I got to do the work. That girl could hold her head. Every time I looked around, she was crying. Yes. And laughing and crying. And I got to go to the bathroom, Tyler. I'm on the floor.

Got to do a whole hour of storytelling in my mind to get the tears. But I said, God is calling Taraji to do what Taraji does, but he's calling me to do what nobody can do. I'm the one that I'll have Tyler on the flow cracking up. We talk. I'm that one that he comes to to feel good and be able to let go and laugh. That's what I do. I'm trying to be that person. I'm not trying to be Oprah.
