Pete Alonzo, I don't know how many career home runs he has.
It's a lot.
You know what I mean?
And it comes down to just executing pitches.
So the boos, you know, I get it.
Sure.
You know, people hear it.
People are human.
I like to think that Jeff is not like to think I know that Jeff is one of the best teammates, one of the best dudes we have in that clubhouse.
And I think what matters to him is how the people around him feel.
And that part's never going to change for me or from the guys in the clubhouse.
So it's a weird year for sure when you have that many strikeouts and you look up and you're giving up that many runs.
So you just try to find a soft landing spot for him.

I think it's just hitting mistakes, you know what I mean?
He's not going to hit home runs like some other guys that are going to be majestic, if you will, but I think it's just putting the barrel on the ball.
He has a unique, unique skill to put the barrel on the ball, and when you click it right, he's got enough power to get it out.
But I think it's mistake pitches that he has the ability to put the ball in play kind of all over the zone, out of the zone even.
