Yeah, and they addressed that, I think,
I was going to say, that wasn't during the regular season.
That was down in Florida.
He talked to the media.
Sounds like he said what he needed to say, not just to, you know, Hazel and Shy and company, but to, like, the actual players and to the clubhouse and to Schneider and so on.
So I don't think that's a huge issue, personally.
I don't know.
I think, for me, it seems...
pretty easy to take lauer out of the rotation and put jose back in that spot now it does seem we heard this pre-game we played some of the sound on the pre-game show from john schneider but next steps for brios he will pitch one more time in triple a and then he's going to build his pitch count up a little bit more uh tbd for monday's starter does seem like lauer at least in some fashion will factor into that game much like he did it was against the red socks just a couple days ago yeah
And he did start that game outright, Lauer did.
But I do think, based on how Lauer spoke to the media at the end of that game, I'm guessing Lauer is the odd man out.
Because let's face it, and we can talk about Patrick Corbin here as well.
Let's face it, Corbin does not deserve... If it is truly a meritocracy, like John Schneider said it would be at the beginning of the year when they had all these pitchers at the time healthy...
He said then that when everyone is healthy, the rotation would be set based on who is pitching well.
And if that is the case, I mean, Scherzer's on the aisle right now, but if that is the case, then, I mean, you can only take out Eric Lauer, I would imagine, right?
And if you're paying Barrios all this money, I'm going to imagine they want him to pitch, no matter how you think of him.
And I don't think as harshly of him as Tyler does, but I think it's a pretty, for me, it's a pretty cut and dry.
Lauer goes to the bullpen and Barrios comes back to the rotation.
And he looked better in the Red Sox series.
Yeah, because I do think the hallmarks of Barrios' Blue Jays career are simply that he is... He grinds and he's a workhorse, to your point, right?
