Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Sunday pledged to send hundreds more officers to Minneapolis in response to protests and cited the recent welfare fraud scandals in the state.
In an interview on Fox News, she said the officers would be sent there to bolster security for ICE and Border Patrol agents that are currently in Minnesota.
With about 2,000 federal agents already deployed in Minneapolis, Noem says it's the largest operation in DHS history.
