They've been together for 17 years.

So most people would say this is kind of insane.

Yeah, totally.

So I'll set the scene a little bit.

They're out having a drink at a bar.

They have been together for 17 years, married for 10.

They're having a drink at a bar and they're talking about their relationship.

And both of them feel like something isn't quite right.

And so they do something that others might see as insane.

They say, we're going to run an experiment.

For a year, we're going to go our separate ways.

And then we're going to come back to this bar in a year and decide whether or not we want to break up or stay together.

They called it The Year of Living Dangerously.

And I won't spoil the ending because you have to read the book, but it is a great example of what it means to actually turn toward your uncertainty.

Because so many people would either just break up or grit their teeth and carry on.

And here they are running a little experiment on their life.

Come on, man.

Read the writing on the wall.

Well, I think my informal survey of people I've talked to about it, it's about 50-50.

Half of the people think, oh, this is like the Pina Colada song.
