So I think I was also just a bit risk averse.
I can talk about the drawdown number.
So I've always liked to budget some years.
I've kind of like stopped budgeting and let life kind of just happen.
But very recently I've been back into budgeting and understanding like, okay, this is how much my mortgage costs.
This is how much my life costs.
I really value traveling.
I want to travel in a nice seat.
Let me budget for that.
I don't really want to spend a lot of money on like maybe other things.
Let's budget for that.
And it came to about $120,000 a year for me as a sole person.
And then I got married and then I kind of factored that in as well.
But my husband has like a normal nine to five job.
So we'll put him to the side for this moment.
Just based on my own income, I was like, okay, if I need $120,000 a year, then with a bit of buffer, if I can draw down $150,000, then I can live off that.
And that was the thing I had in mind.
Initially, it was $100,000.
I wanted to live off $100,000.
But then lifestyle creep happened, and I couldn't.
