How does it all happen?

It's so funny.

It happened really organically.

So probably where there was a distinct breaking off onto a slightly different path in the same field was COVID.

Boring, but, you know, that is the case for so many people.

And as a freelancer, I had no work.

I was fine.

I had government support, could pay my rent.

It's fine.

There were people way worse off.

But I spent my time starting a website, which I had planned to do for years that I just never did because I was hustling as a freelancer.

And while I was writing, trying to set up this website, pumping out

I think it was close to 100 articles to get it up and running.

I started a newsletter.

They're both called Seasoned Traveller.

And I was just covering what restaurants were doing.

I was still very much in the industry.

I was using my Instagram and social media and the newsletter to say, you know, for those who can and want to support hospitality,

This restaurant has flown mud crab in from Darwin and it's available for this Friday night only.

And people had nothing else to do.
