30-year-old players don't play very well in the NFL unless they're a quarterback or probably an offensive lineman.

Well, you were 6-11 with them.

My point isn't to say Brett Beach is an idiot.

That's not at all what I'm saying.

I get why they did it.

And like I said, he is their best defensive lineman.

But I think the big picture is that all of these decisions connect with all the other decisions.

And so...

I think you've got to get to the point that you start making the choices of always doing what's best for the long haul.

And that will make you better in the now every year moving forward.

But it'll take a couple years.

But two years down the road, like right now, if you didn't have him and you had $45 million more to spend in free agency...

And you had another – let's just make it Jalen Carter.

Let's say it was pick nine.

And you have Jalen Carter right now.

He's a better player.

He's a head case.

I don't know that that's the guy they would have taken.

But there are a number of guys, a number of directions.

Like I said, they did like Gibbs.
