Daughters of mothers in the paid labor force also become much more likely to become married to equitable partners.
and they become much more likely to also succeed in the paid labor force beyond their peers.
I think we talk about them as logistical things, things like income, things like household labor, division of labor expectations, but these are really expectations of power.
And our ideas of power and gender and gender roles are still incredibly, incredibly patriarchal in ways that I think will take a lot of work to reckon with.
But I think in the meantime, it's great to opt out of them.
And if we can find ways of not sacrificing the things we want from our relationships and from love,
Even if we opt out of these kind of unequal institutions, that's a great thing.
You know, people finding other ways of building community, finding other people to buy homes with, maybe finding other people to start families with.
I think that's wonderful.
I don't, I think like we have kind of adopted, women are adopting this model of pursuing their ambitions independently, whether they're partnered or not.
And I don't think we should limit that to finances.
I think we should limit, we should expand that to love too, because love can be many things.
