I think there's a lot of interest in what's going on off the coast.

You've got the amphibious ready group with 1,000 sailors and I think 3,000 fleet marines.

Now you've had, I think, the Gerald R. Ford, the largest carrier we have, kind of a carrier strike group down there.

Can you explain to us what's going on, Matt, as you see it and what people down in Central America and Latin America think what's going on?

How would that impact the military?

You think that could be a wedge issue to drive a wedge between the military apparatus and Maduro himself?

Look, there's been some rationale about narco-terrorists, all this.

Pete, I think, has briefed—I mean, what are your sources on Capitol Hill tell you?

There have been some briefings.

They're not like trying to say, we're doing a War Powers briefing.

But where do people on Capitol Hill stand with this as far as they've been briefed about kinetic activity?

Because I hear there's a number of plans that the Pentagon has laid out and Higgs has laid out as a range of options, kinetic options, for President Trump, sir.

You mentioned the Monroe Doctrine.

Is this Monroe Doctrine 2.0?

Is there still some resistance to that?

I mean, when you talk to the leaders you know, particularly in Central America, what is the ideal state that they see this as far as Monroe Doctrine or fitting into what we're calling now hemispheric defense?

The president said the other day, he was asked a question in one of these bilats, and he says, hey, Maduro's given us everything, right?
