And I think it didn't matter if you were part of Millwall for five minutes or part of Millwall for 15 years, the man had time for you and he would back you and do anything for you.
And I just think he was a wonderful, wonderful man.
And as everyone said, you know, not a bad word's been said about him.
And I think that speaks volume for a footballer.
I think one of the big things about John Berylson and the way that he run the football club, he tried and he did run the football club the right way.
he kept us on the steady path.
He did progress us.
You know, it might have only been small steps, and I'm sure there's plenty of supporters that are listening, that have come to games that have perhaps said, you know, maybe we need to do a bit more, maybe we need to do this.
But we have progressed under Berylson.
He did lead us in the right direction.
And I don't think there's anything more you can say about trying to do things the right way than what he did the season that he allowed prostate cancer.
to um sponsor the shirt and have the sponsorship all around the ground now now we all know that as a football club that we are you know a shoestring football club and john berylson pumped in a lot of money obviously the 100 million pounds
Now, it would have been very, very easy for John to take on a sponsor, to help with the burden of running a football club and the financial burden.
But he wanted to do what he felt was the right thing.
He wanted to promote a cause and help promote a cause that...
That impacts so many people.
I'm sure it may have even impacted people listening right now.
And I just think it just goes to show what a man he was, because, you know, those decisions at that level, as you say, as a businessman are probably not easy to take, knowing that you're going to you are going to take a hit.
But he knew the right way.
He knew the way to to to run Millwall Football Club.
