John Berylson will never, ever, ever be forgotten at Millwall Football Club.
He'll never be forgotten by the players, the fans.
You know, I know at the start of this call-in, we spoke about potentially what kind of tribute may...
or what Mill can do, whether they name a stand, whether they name the ground, a statue, the training ground, you know, there's a list of things that they could do.
And, you know, John may not have wanted that.
That may not have been his wish.
It may not be something that happens.
But I think the greatest thing that we can do and the greatest thing that we will do is that,
he will forever be remembered at Millwall.
And I think every fan up and down the country or abroad, wherever you're based, wherever you are, I think everybody knows that John Berroson was a special man and he'll never be forgotten at SC16.
edit it up for tomorrow yeah well one thing um i just wanted to say that probably the last thing from me um and it's to it's to quote our current club captain sean hutchinson and i'm sure we've all watched the video um of him out in spain um i'm sure i wasn't alone earlier when hutchinson made the comment about the cigar when he said i haven't listened to it yet sorry
Okay, so Sean Hutchinson said that after the Blackburn game, John Berylson went up to him and had a cigar in his pocket and said, it wasn't this time, Sean, maybe next year, and put the cigar back in his pocket.
And I think...
But for Hutchinson, I think you could tell the look on his face and the way that he spoke, it upset him and hurt him to say that.
It was upsetting as a fan to hear that because the last moments that John had at the ground was obviously in utter disappointment last year.
And I just hope, and I'm sure the fans are already behind it, but I just hope that perhaps next year, whether it's Hutch, whether it's someone else who's club captain, can perhaps take us to that point that they can have that cigar and look up at John and say,
as we take ourselves to hopefully the promised land.
And as I say, it's very, very sad.
And I'm sure the rest of the players would have found it as difficult as Hutchinson clearly did to do that interview.
And I'm sure they'll be doing everything they can to make sure that the entire squad has a cigar at the end of next season.
