I think Filoni a lot of times is like, I'm going to make the wildest version of what I think George Lucas would make.
I think Tony Gilroy with Andor is just like...
hey, I'm going to make a hot story.
This would be a good story, whether it was a Star Wars story or not.
And I think it's very hard for other creators who are that invested in Star Wars to come to it with that, where it's like, I don't really give a fuck about Star Wars.
I give a fuck about revolution and the history of revolution.
And how do I get that war across screen?
And how do I get spycraft in these 70s movies and this and that and the third?
If you're someone like Filoni, I'm like, we don't do that here.
That's not what we're doing.
I think when it's good, it's good.
And it's never terrible, but sometimes I'm like, okay, a little samey and stuff.
Like the bad stuff.
But I also think Filoni's learned something from being in the trenches of Clone Wars where he does the thing where it's like,
hey, yo, I'm going to give y'all a little bit of Luke.
I'm going to give y'all a little bit of the stuff.
But I'm going to use Ahsoka.
I'm going to use Thrawn.
And I'm going to basically play with all these toys.
And once I'm done with this season, once I'm done with this movie, it's not really going to affect anything else.
