I know it's not been good this season, but it was okay before that.
But it seems like he wanted to go.

Seemingly he wants to move his family back up to the North West, close to where he has come to us from.
And there's an interview with the managers today with John Massino who says because it was clear that Callum wanted to go he wasn't going to block it.
He didn't want a player who didn't want to be here.
Which I think is always the thing with these transfers.
You might have fans having a favourite player that they don't want to lose.
But if that favourite player then becomes a player that doesn't want to be at that club, it does change things.
And as much as clubs hold the... You know, when a player's under contract...
it's up to a club whether they want to sell them or not, of course it is, that's the way it works but the reality of it is there's still a bit of player power there as well and if he's made it clear he wants to go and if there's a club in for him that he wants to go to and that club are prepared to pay the sort of money that Pompey wanted then it's always going to happen and I think we probably got about as much cash for him as we were ever going to
