The problem these days is going up from the Championship to the Premier League.

It's going to suit some clubs, and every club is going to want to have a go at it, but you can end up...

worse off than you start because you can come straight back down and then your downward momentum can take you a bit further, as Luton found.

And as Southampton and Leicester are finding this season, it's not easy when you come back down.

The days when you come down and go straight back up again seem to be disappearing, don't they?

So I think for a derby to be hard, I'm sure they'll have a go at it if they get there.

I don't know what their financial situation is.

Money they'd be able to raise if they got up.

I think they've been talking about wanting to use the money from us for Adams to strengthen now and have a good go at the playoffs.

So good luck to them if they get there.

Interesting, isn't it, that they came up, you know, they're only in their second season in the championship like us.

And they're already at that stage.

There's a few Pompey fans saying, well, if they can be up there, why can't we?

If only it was that simple.

But yeah, if you said to Pompey fans, do you want to go up to the Premier League just yet?

I think most would probably, you know, plenty would say, yes, let's have a go and let's have the excitement of it and see how we do.

But I think quite a few, particularly those who remember it from last time we were up there, would say, hang on a minute, it's not all it's about.
