It'll be interesting to see team selection on Saturday against Millwall because if Segecic is once again fully available and also he is very happy with Gustavo Caballero out wide, perhaps Segecic is going to be able to move inside a position that he himself has said he prefers, but he'll play right wing if that's where we need him to play.
But he's got two choices there.
John Massino and that must provide him with a little crumb of comfort in these very hard times with injuries.
So good news about Segs but not so good news about Doz.
it's testament isn't it testimony to the fact that he wants to be on the pitch he wants to play he wants to keep his place he wants to keep the trajectory of his career which has gone from strength to strength at Pompey going that he decided he was okay to run it off it's such an unscientific way forward isn't it after an injury I think I'll be able to run it off
Sometimes players go down clutching their knees.
When they haven't got the foul, they get up and don't even pretend to be injured.
With Dezell, it was the other way around.
He was injured, but he insisted on staying on.
He insists, I'm guessing, he said, look, I can run it off.
And he couldn't, because as he ran back into the game, having had treatment on the pitch, he was clearly limping.
All around us, we were saying the same thing.
He's not much good to the side limping like that, we were saying.
And then we caught sight of him a few minutes later and he still clearly wasn't right.
So he did the right thing to come off.
