I think the best part is that Castle looks like a real win and that the Fox acquisition reminds me a lot of the market for Donovan Mitchell, where even as great as Mitchell had been statistically and his scoring ability and some of those massive playoff games were just huge, huge output. People around the league be like, you know, he's really good, but he's not this guy. And

I think the Fox conversation could be a little similar. It's like, oh, do you want to pay that guy? Well, waiting around for perfect, sometimes you're going to be waiting forever. So I feel like both those acquisitions, and it's easy to say that after the fact now with Cleveland, what Mitchell's been able to do.

But I think it's one of those deals where it's like, hey, we might not be able to do better than DeAndre Fox right now. So if he's available and you're not giving up a ton of assets, it's kind of a no-brainer. So they'll go back into the lottery with their pick. Right now it's ninth.

Also, there's a bit of a Kendall Johnson thing where I was probably lying to myself for a little bit because he looked in better shape and maybe made some shots the first two months of the season. But that's fallen off. And then we know Vassell's going to take less shots now.

But on the lottery part of this, don't forget, their pick, which sits ninth based on records, and Atlanta's unprotected pick for the DeJounte Murray trade. That pick is unprotected for 25. Two more teams. New Orleans, 26th on offense, 28th on defense. Last year, 11th on offense, number six on defense. These guys balled last year. Then Zion got hurt at the worst possible time.

All right, so here's what we already know. This team is fucking haunted. Zion's played, well, he's missed 37 games. Ingram played only in 18 before he was traded. DeJounte tore his Achilles right when they had gotten him back. Herb Jones has missed 38 games. People don't even remember. People forget Herb Jones missed 38 games. CJ's missed 14. Trey Murphy's missed 16.

So I feel for this front office, I've said it numerous times, it feels like every year they do their job in the draft. They do it as well as anybody. Yves Missy, loving little Yves Missy. But, you know, their guys don't play. So there's two positives of the last month or so. And Trey Murphy's been more than a positive in just a month.
